Accused Fraudster Andrew Loffredo Hit With New… (golocalprov.com) — A businessman tied to a $2 million East Greenwich mansion is facing new state charges for allegedly failing to pay a former employee and issuing a bad paycheck. While many allegations involve large debts to investors, the case now includes wage-theft accusations as his properties, including the East Greenwich home, face serious financial pressure.
   

3. Officials break ground on new 126th Army Aviation headquarters (ricentral.com) — East Greenwich's Camp Fogarty will see its aviation soldiers consolidated at a new $46 million Army Aviation Readiness Center being built at Quonset, replacing aging World War II–era facilities. The 70,000-square-foot, all-electric building will centralize about 300 troops, add modern operations and maintenance space, and was funded with key support from Sen. Jack Reed.
   

4. Barcott Hopes to Spark Civics Renewal With New Book (eastgreenwichnews.com) — An East Greenwich High School graduate, veteran, and nonprofit founder is back in Rhode Island promoting his new civics-focused book, which profiles 10 veteran public servants from both parties. He credits his East Greenwich upbringing and teachers for inspiring his writing and hopes local schools will use the book to spark renewed interest in service and civic engagement.
