Providence Man Arrested On Domestic Violence Charge Following Fatal Crash: Cops

The Providence man was held as a probation violator, police said.

EXETER, RI — A Providence man was arrested on a domestic violence charge by state troopers investigating a fatal crash, police said.

Tariq Famogun, 26, was arrested about 4 a.m. Sunday on charges of domestic violence — violation of a no contact order and obstruction of an officer in the execution of duty, the Rhode Island State Police said in a media release.

Famogun's arrest was the "result" of state troopers "investigating a fatal motor vehicle crash on South County Trail" in Exeter, according to the release.
