Task Force Takes Down Johnston Man On Gun And Drug Charges: Cops
The Johnston man was arrested by the High Intensity Drug Trafficking Area task force, police said.
JOHNSTON, RI — A Johnston man was arrested on gun and drug charges, police said.
Nicholas Souto, 36, was arrested shortly after 5 a.m. by the Rhode Island State Police High Intensity Drug Trafficking Area task force, the state police said in a media release.
Souto was arrested on charges of possession with intent to deliver fentanyl, possession with intent to deliver cocaine and possession of a firearm while committing a controlled substance violation.

"This arrest was the result of a search warrant executed at the conclusion of a narcotics investigation," the release said.
"Mr. Souto was transported to the Lincoln Woods Barracks, where he was processed," according to the release. "He was later transported to Third District Court for arraignment."
