3 Beaches In Narragansett-South Kingstown Closed To Swimming For High Bacteria
The Rhode Island Department of Health recommended the closures because of high bacteria levels making it unsafe to swim.
SOUTH KINGSTOWN, RI — Three Beaches in Narragansett and Newport have closed for swimming, the Rhode Island Department of Health said Thursday.
The Rhode Island Department of Health (RIDOH) recommended the closure of Scarborough North in Narragansett, Kingston's Camp in South Kingstown, and Camp Hoffman in South Kingstown because of high bacteria levels making it unsafe to swim.
RIDOH officials said they will continue to monitor and review beach water quality regularly to ensure safe bathing throughout summer.
