A DAY In The LIFE...

     I NEVER take for-granted, NOR do I assume, the 'belief', that, I will 'wake-up', in the AM, to a new day; Although, with, each NEW-day, I am given, I hope to 'awaken' something, new in my heart, mind, and, soul. A day...24 hours...1,440 minutes...86,440 seconds is one of THE greatest-gifts to be given, and, frequently, a thing, that, we EXPECT, to receive. The 'bottom-line' is, that, this is NOT our reality. For, even, without 'illness', or, advanced-warning. our, time, here, on earth, can come to a close. This, for me, is reason, enough, to embrace, each, new, day, as if it might be my last; Because, for all 'intents and purposes', it could be. I do not 'fear' death, for, I believe that 'it' does NOT denote 'the end'; Contrarily, I subscribe to the notion, that, it, marks a 'new-beginning'. However, even with, this, being my 'reality', I'm, not, QUITE, ready to say 'good-bye' to this, physical-life, and, all of what it entails. For, there are 'things', on this 'earth-plane' to be appreciated, which, insofar, as I understand, we will not enjoy on the 'other-side'; Although, as part of my 'belief-system', as well, I KNOW, that, there is NO suffering there. Neither, is there the NEED to eat...BUMMER! Cause, I'm a real-'foodie', and, look forward to a new-day, for many reasons, and, among them...EATING! I guess one of the 'trade-offs' for 'everlasting-tranquility' is in having no taste-buds! I can LIVE with that. In the meantime, I am going to enjoy every moment I am blessed to be given, here, in the 'physical'. EAT, DRINK, and, BE MERRY! 'In Heaven, there is no beer...THAT'S why we drink it here!' Just Sayin'..
