A man's body was found on Scarborough Beach on Sunday morning.
A state Department of Environmental Management spokeswoman said the body was found around 9 a.m. and the state Medical Examiner is now trying to determine the cause of death.
The Providence Journal reported that the man was 64-years-old.
The body was discovered by two people walking their dog around 9 a.m.
Police have not yet released the identity of the man.
