Auditions for Variety Show Featuring Erika Van Pelt

Auditions are being held Tuesday, March 5, for an upcoming benefit variety show with Erika Van Pelt.

Erika Van Pelt, Rhode Island’s own American Idol top 10 finisher, and the South Kingstown Education Foundation (SKEF) will be holding Variety Show auditions on Tuesday, March 5 from 2:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. at Curtis Corner Middle School, 301 Curtis Corner Road, Wakefield.  Auditions are open to the local community, both students and adults, including bands.  Online video submissions will be also be accepted, but must be received by March 5 at 5:30 pm.   

To register for a live audition or to submit a video link as an audition, please e-mail skef2003@hotmail.com with the following information: Name of act or band, names of all performers, length and type of act to be performed, and type of equipment needed to efficiently perform the act.  Call 783-4848 with any questions.

The Variety Show, which is scheduled for Friday, April 5 at South Kingstown High School Auditorium at 7:00 p.m., will feature Erika Van Pelt and special guests, along with local talent performing contemporary music, song, comedy, dance and more.  Comedian Ben Hague, of the Rhode Show and CBS's The Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson will host.

Tickets are $15 in advance for adults ($20 at door) and $10 for students.  To purchase tickets online go to www.brownpapertickets.com and type ERIKA as keyword.  Proceeds of the show will benefit Music and the Arts in South Kingstown Schools.
