Burlingame State Park, Dyer Woods Campgrounds Safe For Swimming
The two beaches were declared safe for swimming by the Rhode Island Department of Health.
CHARLESTOWN, RI — Two Rhode Island beaches are back open to swimming. Burlingame State Park Campground in Charlestown and Dyer Woods Campground in Foster were declared safe by the Rhode Island Department of Health on Tuesday.
According to the department's beach closures website, Camp Grosvenor in Saunderstown, the Upper and Lower Ponds at the Kent County YMCA and Surfer's Rock at Sachuest Beach in Middletown are still closed due to high bacteria levels.
Dyer Woods was closed for five days, while Burlingame was closed for four days.
