Caring About How We Care...

   Although, some may not think so, there is a huge difference between being apathetic, a state of having or showing little or no feeling or emotion, being, 'spiritless', and, owning a keen sense of healthy-separation, from the unpleasantries and pitfalls which befall us in life. I have never been an apathetic sort; Contrarily, I am a person who, due to my empathetic nature and spiritual-sensitivity, has, often, found it difficult to not wear the 'burdens of the world' on my shoulders. When one is of this nature, it can cause a person to become overwhelmed by the negativity which prevails; this, creating an unhealthy emotional-environment within. Over the years, I have determined that, in order for me to live a stress-free existence, and, separate from the situations which I cannot control, I must employ a sagacious, sort, of attitude, a wisdom which will, when implemented, keep me able-bodied and able-minded, allowing me to keep healthy and sane, and, better capable of acting on behalf of others who may need my help. There are situations, which, I will never be able to change, or, impact on. Those, I, simply, pray for, and allow God to carry the weight they put upon my shoulders. Otherwise, when I feel able to assist others in their woe and times of need, I pray for the guidance I need to keep me focused. I am a person who will ALWAYS care, and, wish to 'be there' for others; It is in my nature to do so. Once upon a time, not knowing how to control it, I would allow the 'energy' from crisis to impact me. Today, I am figuring out ways in which to prevent this, as I've come to know, all too well, how stress overwhelms my body, mind, and, spirit. Certainly, I am not alone in this; for 'energy', positive or negative, has an effect on us. Having a healthy, self-interest, and, learning how to best cope and manage in our lives is a great, gift, to give. When we are at our, optimal-best, we, not only serve ourselves, but, others in our life, as well. Just Sayin'...
