“The Only Thing That Is Constant Is Change ” ~ These eight words pretty well sum up one of Life's 'Truths'; that, change, can be counted on to occur, constantly, and, continuously. Being equipped and prepared to face these, oft times, daily differences, some of which may present great challenge, is imperative to one's state of well-being, and, happiness. As the old, adage, suggests, when the 'wind of change' blows about us, and our lives, tis better to bend as the Willow-Tree, than to try to stand, strong, like the Might-Oak. Naturally, it is vital to find strength, in the face of adversity; yet, if we cannot manage to 'go with the flow' when life asks us to, we may discover ourselves beaten and defeated; for, if we cannot 'bend' to the reality of impermanence, we cannot move forward. Change is inevitable. Events take place, and, come to pass, whether or not we wish for them to; this being a cold, hard, fact. However, when we adopt the proper attitude, which can assist us through life's transformations, we can 'survive', without hardship, and, maintain a positive-outlook. One 'tool', which I find to be instrumental in moving forward, through change, is having a Faith in a Higher-Power, and, trusting in that. Although, at times, it seems that some of our life- difficulties make no sense, there is ALWAYS a lesson to be learned through them. Remember, that, 'When God closes a door, He opens a window.' In addition, if we can develop a self-love, which is permanent, and, not affected by external transformation(s), a state-of-being, which allows for a moment-to-moment, sense of self, we are more heavily-armed against life's alterations. Each moment in our lives is a gift, although, often, we take them for granted, especially when things remain status quo, and, comfortable; It takes, but, one of these moments, to alter our position, and, demand our wherewithal. We can survive our life's vicissitudes, with 'Grace and Aplomb', rather than letting them get the best of us. How we manage these varied states, and, conditions, is all up to us. My choice is to maintain a state of constancy, of being 'good' in a moment to moment reality, throughout the changes that take place, in my own life. It is not, always, so, easy; however, the end- result...my SANITY... is well worth the effort. Just Sayin'...
