Domestic Violence Organization Accepting Old Cell Phones

The Domestic Violence Resource Center of South County will accept donations of unwanted cell phones.

WAKEFIELD, RI — Looking to clean out your junk drawer? The Domestic Violence Resource Center of South County accepts donations of unwanted cell phones for victims of abuse.

Unwanted or outdated phones can be dropped off Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m. until 4:30 p.m. at 61 Main Street in Wakefield.

The organization, founded in 1978, is a non-profit that provides support to victims of domestic violence.

"We work collaboratively to offer safety, support, advocacy, education and a network of services to the residents of Washington County," the organization's website reads."The DVRCSC is dedicated to both preventing and responding to domestic violence by working to change the social conditions, beliefs, and social actions that perpetuate abuse."
