For the past, two, mornings, I have been arising, much, earlier, than I, typically, do. For this reason, I have felt a tad, tired, by early, PM. Today, I did a thing I haven't in awhile...I took a NAP; and, boy...what a great thing it was! Although, our culture, doesn't, typically, promote resting in the middle of the day, there are plenty that do, and, have, historically, around the globe. Mid-day, respite...siesta...'cat-naps'...catching, '40-winks' while in the midst of a 'workday', is a terrific, way to 'recharge'. When one thinks about this, rationally, and, realizes the demands that one, typically, puts upon him/herself, every day, and, these, performed, with 8 hours, or less, sleep under one's belt, sometimes, MUCH less, in a 24-hour period, it's kinda crazy. Honestly, how is it that one ought be expected to function at a high-level, when one's mind and body haven't had adequate rest? It's good to acknowledge that there are mindful-people, promoting good, healthful, habits, amongst their employees, encouraging a richer workplace, in general. The last time I can recall nap-time being advocated was when I was in Kindergarten. Guess it's true, then, that it was there that I learned, most, everything I ever need to know! Just Sayin'...
