1. Mountain Lion Found Dead in Connecticut  

If you’ve foilowed our coverage of , followed by , it may interest you that an unfortunate soul struck and killed a confirmed mountain lion in Greenwich, Connecticut with his car over the weekend. 

This tip came to us from reader Cindy Lewis, and thanks to Cat Harrington and Peter Nunes for pointing us in the direction of the coverage.  You can read the New York Times article here.

2. Phase 2 reconstruction of Matunuck Schoolhouse Road from Oliver Drive to Matunuck Beach Road will begin Monday June 13^th. Motorists should expect some traffic delays. If you have any questions regarding this project, please call the Public Services Department at (401) 789-9331 ext 2250.

3. The South County Tourism Council is sponsoring the 10th Annual Photo Contest with prizes totaling over $1,000 to be awarded to the top eight place photographers. 

The Council is looking for memorable photography capturing the people and places of South County during winter, spring, summer and the fall.  Snap your favorite moments spent in Charlestown, Coventry, East Greenwich, Exeter, Hopkinton, Narragansett, North Kingstown, Richmond, South Kingstown, Westerly and West Greenwich and you could be a winner!  Entries for the 10th Annual South County Photo Contest are being accepted now through August 10, 2011.

4. The South Kingstown Chamber of Commerce is sponsoring a South County Bed and Breakfast Tour tomorrow, June 14 on the Southern RI trolley for Tuesday. Guests will spend 20 minutes at each location. The tour will visit the Sugar Loaf Hill, Eden's Manor, Meyer House, Stone's Throw, 1900 House, King's Rose, Admiral Dewey Inn, and the Grinnell Inn

The trolley will depart from The South Kingstown Chamber of Commerce at 12:30pm and 3:00pm. It is $5 to attend and reservations are mandatory. Call 401-932-9991 to reserve your spot.
