GREAT Medicine!

It's, simply, AMAZING , to me how much energy I can realize from, simple, 'inert' practices of such modalities as meditation and massage. Often, I feel more refreshed and revitalized after a session of meditating, than I do after a full-night's repose; with, the same, being true of massage. Although, I do not practice, faithfully, at the 'art' of yoga, I do stretch, daily, and, this, too, brings about energy from a reserve, which, these, health-practices, know how to 'tap' into. Naturally, our BEST health comes from being 'balanced'; and, this can occur when our energy-chakras, are open and flowing; these, the energy points or knots in the subtle(non-physical) body. There exist, many chakras in the subtle (non-physical) human body according to the Hindu, tantric texts, but there are 7 chakras that are considered to be the, most, important ones. Chakra is the Western version of the Sanskrit ‘cakra,’ which means ‘wheel’ or ‘circle.’ Chakra is based on the idea that the energy of the body is centered through seven main points in the middle of the body that move in a circular pattern, creating the aura of the body. These seven chakras have specific functions and chakra colors that develop and promote energy for a healthy life. Each chakra has its own specific chakra color and energy. The first of the seven chakras is Muladhara. This is the root chakra located at the base of the spine and pelvic area. This chakra energy point is the basis of human survival, it is the foundation of primitive needs such and the foundation of the human spirit. It's associating color is red. The second chakra is Svadhisthana. This chakra energy exists at the belly button or navel. This is where the human center of sexual desire and emotional connection exists. The color associated to this chakra is orange. The third of the seven chakras is Manipura. This chakra energy is located at the solar plexis and is colored yellow. The Manipura is the center of the human will, integrity, personal empowerment and identity. The fourth chakra is Anahata, which exists above the heart. This chakra color is green or pink and is significant of love, inner balance, compassion for others and emotional expression. The fifth of the seven chakras is Vishuddha, which is located at the throat. Vishuddha chakra energy is related to speaking, expression and communication. This chakra color is blue. The sixth chakra is Ajna, which is located on the forehead between the eyebrows. This is the third eye and chakra energy here is colored violet. It is responsible for the mind, foresight, self awareness and intuition. The final of the seven chakras is Sahasrara, also called the crown chakra. This chakra energy is located at the crown of the head and is the point of wisdom and understanding. This chakra color is white, which signifies that it is the culmination of all the chakra colors. When these energy-circles are open and flowing, our bodies are 'in-tune' and we feel better, in every way. Certain modalities of health-care can insure, that, this is so, e.g., acupuncture, massage-therapy, yoga, and, meditation, all, of which are ANCIENT practices, which, says 'something' about their efficacy. There are, indeed, alternative routes to take, far off the 'beaten-path' of Western medicine, when endeavoring good-health, and, well-being. We are a society, by and large, who is 'dependent' upon medicine and prescription-pills, to assist us in attaining better-health, in offering 'relief' for symptoms, rather, than, working to find the 'root'-cause of a disorder. I believe, that, a great-deal of what is causing us to be 'sick, as a nation, is, not only, the procession of highly-processed foods, being proffered, but, too, the lack of education for us, to help us 'better- understand' our, bodies, in a more, holistic way, in ways, specific to preventative-care. In any event, the information is 'out there', for any and all whom wish to research; which, BTW, I encourage, with all my 'heart and soul'! Just Sayin'...
