What is in a name? A rose, by any, other, name, as we know, would smell as sweet, would it not? Monikers, 'proper-names', 'signatures', we all have an epithet...a 'title', that, 'tags' us, for life, as, at our birth, or, prior to, our parents make, deliberate decisions, as to what to 'brand' us. My name, Catherine, for example, means:'Innocent', or, 'Pure'. I love, that, my parents thought this through, giving me such an identification, as this; although, for years, I did not live up to the description. What we choose to call our children is important, as, this, cognomen will follow us, throughout our lives, unless, of course, we opt to change it. Names, all have meanings, with some, more befitting of a character than others. As we do not know 'who' our children will become, throughout the course of their lives, some names, bestowed, mayn't, seem 'appropriate', over time; yet, it is our name, nonetheless. Our names, do not, define our character; although, some people's names, due to their, 'uncommon' -nature, or, being, so, NOT, 'run of the mill', may, indeed, assist those folk in developing character, having had, perhaps, to defend themselves against teasing, and, 'the like', as they were growing-up. There is, one, name, though, that comes to mind, when I think of THE perfect-prenomen, ever given to a man, in the history of the world, this, the name Jesus. The name Jesus, literally, means, 'the Lord saves'. It defines both who Jesus is, and, why He came. He was, also, referred to as Immanuel, this name meaning, 'God with us'. In the case of Jesus, Our Lord and Savior, He and His name ARE interchangeable; yet, He, by ANY, other, name, is STILL, as GREAT. Just Sayin'...
