I Don't Like Spiders And Snakes...

     At this juncture of my life, I attempt to show regard for all of God's creatures; yet, there are still a few that I have an issue with. Take ticks, for example...any, tick, at all. Naturally, we're all concerned about Deer Ticks, in particular, as they are the spreaders of such dreadful diseases, and, I, myself, suffer with Lyme Disease; however, any and all ticks can be the harbingers of ill-health, and, in general, they're all, simply, a nuisance. I, frequently, find myself wondering why it is that these little pests 'roam the earth'; and, yet, God created them, so there MUST be a reason, right? I feel the same way about mosquitoes and flies, too, each, equally, as nasty as the next. And, then...there are SPIDERS. Now, I do know that they can and do assist in eliminating some of the other 'nasties' in the aforementioned categories, and, I appreciate that...I, truly, do. What I'd like to know is this...Why on earth did Our Creator deem it necessary to make them so darned creepy??? Regardless of all the good they do, they kinda freak me out! So...imagine my surprise, and, shock, this AM, when, as I was emptying the washer of cleaned-clothing, I discovered a very BIG...very BROWN...and, thankfully, very DEAD spider at the bottom of the basin. YIKES! I was concerned that it might be one of the 'Brown Recluse' variety, these, which are capable of considerable harm to a person, and, so, I hurried upstairs to the computer to do a bit of research. What I discovered, due to it's mottled brown, black, and tan, coloration, is that it was nothing more than an average 'House-Spider'; but, in my opinion, there was nothing 'average' about it. It was pretty, darned, sizable. I was grateful to acknowledge that it, indeed, was not the variety that is known to be so threatening, and, believe it or not, was sorta sad that it had met such a fate. Oh well...I know that, hence forward, I will be shaking out the dirty clothes, prior to placing them in the washing-machine. Heck, we have mice around here, also. Don't even want to think about that! Just Sayin'...
