Its About 'TIME'!

   Almost as if it's happened 'overnight', the trees are filled with leaves and, the grass is GREEN; everything is thick and lush, with new-growth, and, Spring has, most, definitely, 'SPRUNG'! When one stops to contemplate, how, all of this happens, seemingly in a 'split-second', one is reminded as to the elusive nature of time, and, it's passing. I was, recently, 'yakking' with a friend, of many years, and, neither of us could believe, that, over 22 years have passed, since we first met. WHAT WHAT WHAT??? It is,
indubitably-INSANE! Naturally, when one 'has a life', and, a busy one, 'to boot', one is NOT 'watching the clock', and, crossing-off days on the calendar. It is, usually, when some-significant, 'moment in time' is upon us; e.g. a birthday or annual-holiday, whereby, we take notice of how time has flown-by. It's peculiar, to say the least, to predominantly, feel the SAME, at least in my 'head and heart', as I did, SO, many, years, ago. Actually, in all honesty, I feel 'younger', in this, regard, today, than, I did, those, decades-ago. I attribute this to the fact, that, I am, 'LIGHTER'... HAPPIER, today, than, EVER, before, in my life. I know myself, so, MUCH, better, and, like myself, as well. Heck...I even LOVE myself. I've attained peace and contentment, within my, 'psyche' and my soul, and, I'm, fairly-certain, that, I've learned a 'thing or two', along the way. As, the, passage of time is indicative of growing-older, then...older, I have become; NOT old, but 'older'. Growing-older, for me, is NOT a 'scary-thing', nor, is it a thing I revile. Actually, I, quite, like it, as I understand, SO, much, more, about the person I AM, and, continue to become! Insofar, as 'time', in general, is concerned, well...I don't FRET about it, that's for sure. I, always, seem to have 'enough' of it, and, I try not to 'fritter and waste' ANY of it. Time has been, and, continues to be, my 'friend'. As the Rolling Stones once sang, 'Time is on MY side!' Just Sayin'...
