Health & Fitness

It's great to go to the 'YMCA'...

I have, always, recognized the benefit of exercise; not, simply for it's physical ramification, but, also, for the emotional, well-being, it brings about. Today, more than ever, it is, important to make certain to move one's derriere, as folks are a lot less active in their day to day, as in past generations. Collectively, we have become a culture of 'couch-potatoes'; this, due, to a myriad of reasons, ranging from the type job one may work at/in, to the way he or she spends time in recreation. Add to this, the fact that, due to demographics, most of us drive to our destinations, rather than walk, or, ride a bike. This overall lack of exercise can contribute to lethargy; not, simply, of a physical nature, but, of an emotional one, as well. Exercise feeds all components of one's well-being. Re-energizing ourselves, recharging our batteries, is imperative to overall, good, health. Some might argue that they haven't enough time, during a day, to satisfy this need. Au contraire! There are any number of ways to squeeze in a bit more 'movement', over the course of a day; climbing stairs, rather than taking the elevator, parking further away from our destination, whether it be the 'Mall', or 'the office'. Every extra step counts! If one has a membership to a gym, USE IT; that membership can't do much, on it's own! Whether, or, not, we think we have time to 'indulge' ourselves in daily activity, typically, we really do. It's just a matter of allowing ourselves the time. After all, who cannot find 15-30 minutes in a day, to do something 'special' for him or herself? So...give yourself the gift of improved- health; EXERCISE...it does a BODY, and MIND, GOOD! Just Sayin...
