Just BREATHE...

It is a thing we do, typically, without much thought; one of our body's, amazing, involuntary responses, imperative to our very survival...breathing. In and out...in and out, all day long, our lungs inhaling, and, exhaling; in with the good air, out with the bad. Our breath serves our bodies, sending oxygen to each and every part of us, keeping our physical-selves nourished. Whether we are actively aware, or not, this body function occurs...thankfully. The thing is, for most of us, most of the time, we are not thoughtful to this action, and, for this reason, we, often, are not breathing properly. Shallow, mouth-breathing, is, most, likely, what is taking place for most, as we are so, very, busy, in our day to day, work-a-day, world, and, usually, don't take a moment to consider other of our needs. Thankfully, the ol' bod, can/will/does 'survive' by virtue of automatic intake of breath; yet, often times, it is not thriving. I have discovered the beauty of breathing properly, and the benefit surrounding this effort, which, actually, takes no effort, at all. Periodically, throughout the day, I, simply STOP...then, I take a pure, cleansing, breath. This is a deliberate action...inhaling, through the nose, allowing the lungs to fill, and exhaling by way of mouth. Upon performing this exercise, if you will, a few times, within each opportunity I allow myself, I find that I feel better; more clear-headed, more energized. In addition, these moments that I take, allow me to slow down, and be thoughtful....meditative. Believe it, or not, there is great benefit in that. So, today, take a moment or two, just for you; STOP...and, BREATHE; the payoff for this is most beneficial, as it enhances one's well-being. And...it costs nothing but a few moments of one's time. And, you're worth it! Just Sayin...
