King Of Kings...

     A crown is the traditional symbolic form of headgear worn by a monarch or by a deity, for whom the piece traditionally represents power, legitimacy, victory, triumph, honor, and glory, as well as immortality, righteousness, and resurrection. A crown is an article which elicits thoughts of success, wonder, and, achievement. When a person has realized his or her, 'crowning glory, this represents a 'conclusion, or, consummation, of a career...a 'swan-song', so to speak. There exists, to those of us 'in the know', regarding the world of horse-racing, the 'Triple-Crown', the most recent of which is filled with unfortunate, controversy; But, even, still, the word 'crown', is part of this, title, for to win is an 'honorary', position to hold. Crowns, traditionally, represent goodness and positivity, royalty and 'regality', and, yet, when one recalls Jesus, and His 'Crown of Thorns', there is nary a thing about it which conjures up these, thoughts. Rather, it was the quintessential, 'slap in the face', to Christ, as He, the King of the Jews, was being disrespected, goaded, hated, and, tortured, all for the sake of our sins.The King of Heaven, deserving of the greatest crown and highest, honor, wore a crown intended to humiliate Him and cause Him suffering, all the while, being mocked by those who didn't understand or believed to hate Him. Yet, He wore this, crown, willingly, doing so to bear our shame and sin. Certainly, there are those among you, kind, readers, who do NOT subscribe to this, 'story', and, liken it to another, 'fairytale'. This is all, 'well and good', for, we are all, entitled to believe what we wish. I, however, DO believe in God and His only begotten Son, and, I praise and thank Him, daily, for the great, sacrifice, This, King of Heaven, made in my honor. Just Sayin'...
