Longtime South Kingstown Cop Bud Peckham Dies at 64

He served on the South Kingstown police force for 34 years and retired as a a lieutenant.

Lt. SKPD (Ret.) Geoffrey “Bud” Peckham, 64, passed away unexpectedly on September 8, 2014.

Born on September 18, 1949 in Leavonworth, KS, he was the son of the late Elisha O. Peckham and Eleanor (Boyd) Peckham. Geoff graduated from South Kingstown High School and attended CCRI and Bristol College.

He was a South Kingstown Police Officer for 34 years retiring in December of 2005 as Lieutenant. He was involved in many groups/activities such as former President of the Rotary Club and former Mentor for SK Care. He was the beloved husband to Leanne (Bonner) Peckham, father to Alycia Timothy Peckham, brother to Karen Holland & her husband Bill of SK and brother to Kenneth Peckham & his wife Sandy of East Greenwich.

Visiting Hours will be held Friday, September 12, 2014 from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. in the Avery-Storti Funeral Home, 88 Columbia St., Wakefield. Please omit flowers. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Animal Rescue League of Southern RI, P.O. Box 458, Wakefield, RI 02880.
