No News IS Good News...

     To tell you the truth, I'm not, really, sure, why, this story is 'news-worthy'; but, heck...just like every other non-issue, and unimportant- news that 'rocks' the air-waves, these days, this item made the 'front-page'; and, was, actually, the 'topic of discussion' on an AM radio show, which, I had no choice but to listen to, this morning, while at the dentist; as the hygienist had the radio playing, for her own amusement. For those of you who do not know this, Dallas Cowboys owner, Jerry Jones, who, is a very rich man, owning the most valuable franchise in the NFL, along with a billion dollar palace, for them to play in, STILL uses an 'antiquated' 'flip-phone'. OMG...say it ain't so Jerry! Cameras, recently, caught Jones, sitting in his cozy owner’s box, where it was discovered that he has yet to update his phone. My, oh, my...yes...this, certainly, IS news! For crying out loud...REALLY? Who the 'BLEEP' cares, truly? Not me, for sure. Furthermore, what is it about technology, anyway. Yes...it's useful, for certain. However, it preoccupies people to the point of ridiculousness; this story, 'case in point'. What's the 'big-deal', as to whether or not Mr. Jones chooses to use a flip-phone, in preference to a more sophisticated and EXPENSIVE model? Do folks, really, care about this? Certainly, he can afford ANY style of phone he wishes; but, if he likes his old, phone, what's the big deal? In my opinion, this, silly, story, making the news, is, simply, another sign of there existing 'too much technology'. There are so many 'airwaves' to be filled that ANYTHING and EVERYTHING becomes fodder to fill them. Thus, we must read about, hear of, or learn of 'stuff' that, truly, isn't worth my time. And, so...I don't pay attention, when I'm in control of the situation. Unfortunately, today, I was being held captive in the dentist's chair, and, had no choice. In any case, in my opinion, what, often, passes for news and, or, entertainment, these days, is, anything, but. Just Sayin'...
