NO 'Special-Effects'...Just, Special, PERIOD!

       Yesterday, was a day, filled with 'unexpected' surprises, one of which was, accompanying Mom to a late, afternoon, 'flick'. Now, it might have been the 'time-slot', that, this, movie was being offered within, which kept the audience at bay; however, I believe, that, it was more the 'subject-matter', itself, which had the cinema... an ENTIRE, large, theater, occupied by only, two, other, patrons, besides ourselves, basically, EMPTY. The movie we were viewing, is 'The Son Of God', the story of Jesus, and, His time upon the earth. I know, that, now, more than ever, that for some, ANYTHING reeking of God, is, quite, unpopular; and, this, ironically, since, it's evident that the world needs Him more, today, than, ever before. For those of you, choosing to accept, believe, and, embrace the existence of God, and, His Only-Begotten Son...God made flesh, incarnate, this, depiction, of Jesus' walk on earth, is one of the, most, amazing and beautiful 'stories' I've, ever, enjoyed. For any of you, preferring to believe, this, to be 'fantasy', well...there's STILL a great, story to be witnessed, and, wonderful lessons to learn. This film, as others, similar, which I have viewed, over the years, stirred in me a myriad of emotion, not, the least of which was desire; this, not, in the 'sexual' or 'wanton' way, although, the gentleman, portraying Christ, is, extraordinary, in his physical-appearance, but, in a way, which, steers me, more, resolutely, onto the 'Path of Righteousness'. This, film, more than others, of it's ilk, in representing Christ's crucifixion, and, the suffering He endured for us, was 'painful' to view, an, extreme, realistic, cinematography, torturous to watch, in it's vividness. Since, I believe, that, Christ endured all of this, excruciating, pain, for us, seeing His sacrifice, impacted me in 'desiring' to be better, to veer off the 'roadway' of sin...a place we ALL traverse, once in awhile, and, to be, more, conscientious of my life, in general. Insofar, as I can tell, we, all, need, a bit of a reminder, now and again, as to how to live a 'better'-life. Mine came by way of this, wonderful, movie...this, 'experience', that, I 'shared' with a few, other, folk, like me...believers in something, 'beautiful and good'; and, there can NEVER be anything wrong with that! Just Sayin'...
