Living with chronic-pain, regardless of it's origin, can, greatly, challenge a person; often, offering daily 'reminder' of the difficulty of managing, even, the simplest of tasks. As I, myself, face the constant, struggle of a debilitating-disorder, I am compassionate, toward others who do the same. This being said, I also, find, as I try, never, to complain about my 'lot in life', that I am, slightly, mystified by those, whom 'suffer' similarly', yet, grouse, continuously. I guess these folks haven't, yet, figured out this one, simple, fact; that, when we focus, negatively, on misfortune, no matter it's origin, we will, always, feel worse. Our negative-attention, paid to any and all things of a challenging nature, acts as a constant 'reminder', to us, of our unfortunate-position; this, behavior, only hurting, not, helping, our situation. For me, I prefer a, more, positive, approach to handling my life's 'woes', and, in so doing, disallow my pain from 'holding me hostage', or having 'power' over me. In life, although, we, typically, do not CHOOSE adversity, we DO have choices when it comes down to how we 'deal' with it. As I know, 'without a doubt' that positivity is the 'key' to a happy existence, I, opt for it. Practicing at being optimistic is not an easy thing to do, at times, but, it's so, worth, the effort. My glass is ALWAYS half-full...what about yours? Just Sayin'...
