O Tannenbaum...

     I found my tree, today...found THE, little-fir, the one, which would sacrificed it's life, this year, to ensure me of this Season's, 'Charlie Brown Tree'. From my back-yard, I spotted it, in the distance, nestled in between a few of it's brethren, across the tracks, behind my home. PERFECT table-top variety. I traversed the distance, between me and it, plodding the field, whereupon it sat, greeted it, and, asked it how it felt about going home with me. I thanked it for the great, gift , it was bestowing me, and, then, in my own 'Paul Bunyon-esque' kinda, way, I 'chopped' it down; actually, it's skinny, stem required severing from a small, hand-saw, was all. After carrying it home, it was readied for decorating, placed in it's stand, and, slaked it of it's thirst. Then, I set to giving it new-life. Tonight, it warms my home, with it's colored, lights, casting brightness into the corner, where it stands; and, the only light by which I type. It's BEAUTIFUL. I am feeling so Blessed, in this moment, thankful for the many, bounteous, benefits, my life is filled with. It's not only beginning to LOOK a lot like Christmas, it's, truly, beginning to feel like it, too. But, this is a feeling that I am, quite, accustom to...the feeling of deep-gratitude for Our Loving Father, the Source of All things. My Soul is full and my Spirit, Alive. Oh, Christmas Tree...Oh, Christmas Tree...How LOVELY are your branches...Just Sayin'...
