PBS Making Documentary About South Kingstown

SOUTH KINGSTOWN, RI — What is your favorite place to visit in South Kingstown? Does your town have a history or tradition unknown to others outside of town?
Well now's the time to share what makes South Kingstown so special, as PBS will be making a documentary about the town.
South Kingstown was chosen to be a part of Rhode Island PBS' "Our Town" documentary series.

"We are pleased to announce South Kingstown as the next location for the Our Town series,” Rhode Island PBS President David Piccerelli said in a statement. "Our Town gives the community a platform to share stories and perspectives on their town. It is also a meaningful way for us to connect with our community."
South Kingstown residents, business owners, organization leaders and school employees with stories to share or an interest in learning more about "Our Town: South Kingstown" are invited to attend an informational meeting on Zoom at 5:30 p.m., Feb. 15.

At the virtual town meeting, participants will learn more about the production and have the opportunity to discuss the topics and ideas they have in mind. Rhode Island PBS staff will outline the timetable and submission deadlines, plus share tips about how best to capture stories. Throughout the presentation, participants can ask Rhode Island PBS staff questions.
