SMILE, and the World Smiles With you...

   I believe myself a very, positive, upbeat, and, motivated sort; yet, there are days, when I could let life 'beat me up...and down'! If I allowed myself to 'drown in my sorrows', get beatin' up, by my blues, or, have myself a 'pity-party', I'd be the only one in attendance; for I do not desire dragging others down, due to a bit of an 'off' day. There are alternative ways to dealing with our doldrums, aside from exposing others to them. Naturally, it's great to have others to talk with, to assist in 'getting things off one's chest', and, when I realize I need that, sort, of release, I know I have friends I can lean on. When I find it necessary to 'share', I do not commiserate and whine; I prefer practical, communication(s), which aid in me getting 'back on track'. We all handle our 'stuff' in, uniquely, different, ways, that's for certain. Some of us 'wear our hearts on our sleeves', and, allow for the masses to recognize, immediately, our frame-of-mind, and, mood. Others of us, as myself, have great 'poker-faces', so that nobody is ever the wiser, as to what our emotional, state-of being might be, at any given time; I'm always smiling, to keep folks guessing! I believe that the more we dwell in, and, on, our less-fortunate moments, the easier it is to get caught up in an 'oh, woe is me' disposition. Rather than allow for this type attitude, I prefer acknowledging my 'challenge', accepting it's reality, and, attempting to manage it, with the understanding that whatever it is that is plaguing me, is a temporary condition. I believe that we, all, prefer being in the company of positive, people, rather than being surrounded by 'sad-sacks', right? So, regardless, of what I may be dealing with, in my life, I'll be showing the world a 'shiny, happy, face'. Just Sayin'...
