Southgansett Girl Scouts Celebrate with Community Bridging

Girl Scout Ceremony at the end of the year - signifies new beginning for scouts.

Each year, Girl Scouts from all over the world have a Bridging Ceremony. A Bridging Ceremony is an important transition in a Girl Scout’s life. A moment when a Girl Scouts becomes aware of her achievements and is ready for new adventures and responsibilities. Bridging Ceremonies can be just a troop, Service Unit, Council or Region. Southgansett Bridging Ceremony had girls ranging from kindergarten to seniors in high school in attendance.

This year, Southgansett celebrated 7 Girl Scouts who remained in Girl Scouts for 12 years and just graduated from high school! These 7 young women have mentored many younger scouts, traveled to Costa Rica, went to the National Girl Scout Convention in Columbus, Ohio and attended the United Nations Conference. They have learned leadership skills, persistence, teamwork and commitment that will last a lifetime.

Graduating high school seniors and bridging to Adult Girl Scouts: Olivia Kelly, Suzelle Glickman, Lily Truppi, Eloise Davis, Grace Major, Sophia Lopardo, and Lillian Hogan.
