To Forgive...Divine...

Often, in our life, we are 'guilty' of making choices which prove to be less than optimal, and, in so doing, find that there are consequences to bear. For example, when we choose to ignore a 'rule of the road', and, travel in excess of a posted speed-limit, we chance that we might get caught, and, bear the burden of a traffic-ticket. We've all witnessed the driver, whom, upon being pulled over, by a patrolling officer, seeming embarrassed by the misdeed, attempts to hide his/her face, to passersby. Whenever, I've taken note of such a situation, I cannot help but think of how, most of us, when having to face the ramification of a poor-decision, feel embarrassed, when 'caught in the act' of being exposed by our weaknesses. Since it is human to err, we are all 'in the same boat', when it comes to our, occasional, bad-choices. For this reason, one would like to believe that we might be more, willing to understand one another, and, be forgiving toward each other, in the times, which would warrant this. Yet, this is, frequently, not the case; for it seems more common to take note of people, eager to 'finger-point', and, judge, rather than to show compassion of and toward one another. I, for one, am glad to know that, whenever I might be responsible for making choices, that do not 'serve me well', I can be shown compassion and understanding, by Jesus, as long as I am, sincere in my effort(s) to be better. He is ALWAYS willing to allow for our 'humanness', as long as we, ourselves, attempt to be better and learn from our indiscretions. We have all been created in the 'image and likeness' of God, and, His compassionate and Loving -Nature, resides in us. Remember, that 'to err IS human, to forgive, DIVINE', and, that divinity resides in us all. It's up to us to keep this 'reality' in the 'forefront' of our minds; especially, when we would find ourselves intolerant of each other, rather than being COMPASSIONATE, KIND, and, FORGIVING, ALL of the same considerations we would want from others, when we, ourselves, display our human-shortcomings...Just Sayin'...
