See the latest announcement from the Town of South Kingstown.

May 31, 2023
The South Kingstown School Building Committee is making the community aware that there will be soil exploration testing being conducted June 5th & 7th at South Kingstown High School and June 8th & 9th at Curtis Corner Middle School. The testing will occur throughout both school sites and will consist of drilling bore holes to examine the soil profile. Soil testing is a required element of the School Building Planning process pursuant to Rhode Island Department of Education's School Building Regulations. Documentation must be provided as part of the Town's Stage II report demonstrating that a licensed professional engineer has examined soil conditions for structural integrity and drainage in order to determine the suitability or lack thereof of possible sites and identified the existence of soil conditions which may increase site development costs.
