Undercover Fentanyl, Crack Cocaine Bust In South Kingstown
A witness told police that Collazo was passing out free samples trying to make new opiate-addicted customers.
SOUTH KINGSTOWN, RI — After conducting an undercover investigation, South Kingstown Police charged Bill Collazo, 30 of Providence and Miguel Nolasco, 20 of Pawtucket with distributing Fentanyl and crack cocaine.
South Kingstown Police Department received a tip that someone named “Bill” (Collazo) had been driving down from his home in Providence and giving out small bags with free samples of heroin, which were suspected to be Fentanyl.
A witness told police that Collazo was passing out free samples trying to make new opiate-addicted customers. The witness was trying to get clean and joined a rehab program. However, Collazo, repeatedly supplied them with free samples, which lead to them continuing to use drugs.

On August 23, a meeting was set up between Collazo and a potential new customer in South County. This "customer" was actually an undercover police officer. The officer tried buying $500 worth of fentanyl and another $300 worth of crack cocaine. According to police, Collazo said he would do the drug deal at the Deep Hole parking lot.
At about 9 p.m., police said Collazo and Nolasco showed up in a rental car and met with the undercover officer. After introducing each other, the drug deal took place between the undercover officer and Collazo. Collazo and Nolasco were then taken into custody.

Nolasco is being held without bail until a hearing at the Fourth Division District Court on September on September 5.
