Water, Water...EVERYWHERE!

I'm sure, as, have, I, you've noticed, the ever-growing offerings of bottled-water, on store-shelves, from convenient-stores, to grocery-stores, to department-stores, and, pharmacies; This, fairly, new-desire to always have some water at hand, in the 'handy' form of a plastic-bottle, which, by the way is VERY unhealthful, most, especially, when the plastic warms in the heat of a car, from the noonday-sun, tickles me.( and, who, DOESN'T leave water-bottles in their cars, hmmm?) Naturally, we ALL know the importance of staying hydrated; and, although, the debate, STILL, continues, as to how much water one ought, actually, consume, in the course of a day, we DO know, that, it IS vital to good-health, and, survival, to 'drink up'. However, how is it that we have been, so, convinced, that, we must BUY this H2O? Let's face it...MOST of us have potable, drinking-water, flowing freely, and, FREE(all but for an annual, water-bill, of course) to us, right out of our kitchen spigots. So...why are we spending $$$ on it? I look at it this way: We have become a Nation of folk, who, believe, that, if we PAY for something, rather than get it at no cost, it MUST be better. Furthermore, we are so, eager, to BUY the ideas and notions of the advertising-industry, and, this, 'to a fault'. C'mon, now...commercials convince us, that, 'The WORLD runs on Dunkin'', and, there are lines, out into the streets, at every, Dunkin' Donuts, on, EVERY corner, USA, each and every morning. Since when did we become such 'sheep', and, so desirous of things, purchased, especially, those, 'things', we can furnish for ourselves, freely? The fast-food, coffee-industry and the folks, bottling water, are, 'laughing all the way to the bank', this, for sure! I'm not going to 'sit' here, and, lie, to you, for, yes...on occasion, I DO, purchase coffee and, the occasional, case of water; this, typically, though, when there is a threat of loss of power to my home, as I have a well, and, no electricity = no water at my place. However, overall, I do not subscribe to making these, industries, rich. Heck...from the looks of things, they, sure, don't need MY help! Just Sayin'...
