"Orangey Orange", "Lemony Yellow", and "Raspberry Red"; remember this? It's the description, of a bowl of 'Trix' cereal, from commercials, from 'back in the day'. It's funny, how, each year, at this time, when I look around my property, on a bright and sunny day, to the beautiful, Maples, that have, already, begun turning magnificent hues, I am reminded of, precisely, this...a bowl of 'Trix'. Although, I must say that it's a far cry nicer witnessing these colors, occurring naturally, in Nature, rather than seeing them spilling from a bowl of FOOD! Wow...WHAT were we thinking, back then; or, more to the point...what were our parents thinking? In fairness to all of us, we didn't, then, understand the ramification of eating chemically created food-coloring. One must imagine that these color(s), offered up for consumption, were NOT the result of 'natural ingredient(s)'; but, hey...they were pretty, tasty, nonetheless! In recalling the advertisement(s), hyping this breakfast-fare, which were filled with the ploys of one, Bunny-Rabbit, who, was, forever, finagling ways in which to acquire a morsel of or two of his much sought after treat, I cannot help but think about this fact: He NEVER did get to indulge himself in any. After every of his endeavors, to succeed in sating his appetite with such, succulent, fare, his, tireless, effort(s), always went unsatisfied. Yet, I do not find myself feeling bad about this. To the contrary, in retrospect, HE was the lucky one; for, he was spared the less than friendly, 'gastronomical- gunk' that the rest of us were ingesting. In my opinion, this 'Silly Rabbit' made out better than those of us who fell for the 'Trix' played by General-Mills. Just Sayin...
