Would I lie to you?!?

In my, personal, opinion, honesty, IS, in fact, the BEST policy. This being said, I would guesstimate that most folk do not feel this way; as, often, they equate honesty to hatefulness, haranguing, and, hypocrisy; or feel that they are being criticized. The reason for this misconceived response to what being 'honest' is all about, more than likely, results from multiple, bad-experience(s), with others who, in their desire to be forthright in communicating feelings, point 'fingers of blame', rather than own their feelings. For example: If I have an 'issue' with a person, rather than say to him, or, her, 'You really bug me, when you do 'that'!' I say, instead, 'I feel this way, when you do 'that'.' Additionally, I always, attempt, to convey myself, without, anger. Whether or not another can appreciate our effort(s) to express ourselves, without benefit of an emotional-encounter, always, remains to be seen; some folk DO NOT appreciate honesty in ANY form, it seems. However, when we, willfully, wish to explain ourselves, to another, and, we do so with love, kindness, and, ownership of personal-feelings, there is nary a thing wrong with this; and, it will bring about a sated-soul, in the process. For, it is necessary to be true to one's-self, as well as to be thoughtful to others. We, certainly, have no control over how anybody reacts, or, responds to us, in our need for integrity, truthfulness, or, straightforwardness, but, that's OK; being such is a service to self, and, THAT makes it ALL, worthwhile! Just Sayin...
