You Say You Want A 'RESOLUTION'... Well, You Know We All Want To Change Our World...

     Today, I was asked what my 'New Year's Resolution' was, for this year. It's a funny thing... these days, I don't think, too, much about making resolutions, during 'this time' of the year; For, over the past, several, years, I make a daily-resolve of trying to be the BEST person I can be, each and every day...a little, tiny, bit, at a time. I have found, over the years, that, often, when folks make 'promises', to themselves or others, for the New Year, that aren't 'reachable', or 'realistic', dramatically, attempting to change a bad-habit, or, a behavior, overnight, 'jumping' from one, extreme to another, rather than taking 'baby-steps', to achieve success, many, resolutions, are given up on, in short-order. Instead, I find that if I set a, simple, goal for myself, and, earnestly, attempt to endeavor, on a daily-basis, whatever change I wish to achieve, before I realize it...I've integrated a brand-new action, way to react, or, mannerism, into my daily-life. With 'science' behind this 'fact', it is evidenced that it takes, approximately, five-weeks, to change a behavior...FIVE weeks...35 DAYS...LESS, than one MONTH!;Truly, this is NO time at all, in the 'grande-scheme of things'! So, if you're 'hell-bent' on making changes for yourself, this year, don't 'overwhelm' yourself with goals that aren't achievable...start small, and, with, daily, perseverance, you'll, soon, be successful...PROMISE! Just Sayin'...
