Newport's festival between the festivals continues Tuesday night with a long list of entertainment around town.
Monday night's launch was full of fun. Patch stopped by Washington Square to jam along to the "RI Sound" Navy Band's mix of oldies and alternative rock. Their last cover of Michael Jackson's "Beat It" had the whole crowd shaking in the park. We also swung over to the event at the Potter's Guild, where jazz pianist Louis Vaughan performed an early evening set. Read more about Vaughan's efforts in getting BridgeFest off the ground here.
This morning we attended Chris Carbone's performance at the Redwood Library. Children Librarian Miss Alice presented Carbone to entertain the children during Tuesday's reading hour. Playing a variety of instruments, Carbone had the children and their parents clapping, stomping their feet and dancing. He also had them shaking rattles, bells and air-playing guitar, piano, trumpet and flutes.

Tuesday evening's lineup begins soon, and there's plenty of acts planned that shouldn't be missed.
Included are Newport's popular teen rockers Bloody Knuckles, who will perform one of their last local sets before heading off to college. They're set to play from 6 to 9:30 p.m. at the Newport Yachting Center.
