City Holding Broadway Improvement Public Meeting This Morning

There will be a public meeting to discuss Broadway streetscape and utility improvements from 8:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday, Dec. 19 in the City Council chambers at City Hall. 

The following was announced on the City's Department of Public Services page:

The City of Newport is in the final phases of design for two separate construction projects to make utility and streetscape improvements to Broadway from Farewell Street to Bliss Road. We understand that the residents and businesses along Broadway will be affected by these improvement projects and would like to invite all interested parties to become involved. This public meeting is to share project information such as the most current construction plans, anticipated work activities, and proposed work schedules. We look to share our thoughts on the project plans and gather input from interested parties that will lead to the development of a balanced approach to construction as it is our goal to limit and decrease construction impacts during the overall construction project. We look forward to your attending this meeting and working with you to deliver a successful project to our community.
