The City of Newport is holding a public hearing to gain feedback on their consideration of filing for a Rhode Island Community Development Block Grant. A maximum of $500,000 is available for improving housing opportunities for low to moderate income families and individuals, provisioning of employment opportunities for low and moderate income families and individuals, and provisioning of community facilities and services principalling benefitting low to moderate income families and individuals.Â
