Food & Farming Community Forum

Did you know that only 1% of what Rhode Islanders consume is grown, raised, harvested or caught in the State? What can we do to develop our local food system? Can it help our economy?

Join us and a great group of panelists for a forum on these and related issues. Thank you.

This year the RI Agricultural Partnership and the State of Rhode Island released an ambitious five-year strategic plan for Agriculture. On October 26th at CCRI-Newport, the head of Agriculture from the State, the Director of the local land trust, an Aquidneck Island beekeeper, a local farmer and other community leaders will gather to engage the wider community on how to expand local farming and fisheries, and in turn our local economy.
