Kettlebottom to Film U.S. Coast Guard for Fox Adventure Series
A local production company will be filming the Coast Guard and Castle Hill Station for an outdoor adventure series airing this spring.
Kettlebottom, a Jamestown production company, announced it is filming the United States Coast Guard and the Castle Hill Station as part of an outdoor adventure series, Kettlebottom Outdoor Pursuits.
The Kettlebottom production team will reveal a behind-the-scenes look at the U.S. Coast Guard and station, as well as the different ranks of the guard and their duties. Â
Segments will highlight boating safety and maritime tips such as Emergency Position Indicating Radio Beacon (EPIRB) and life raft deployment, navigation techniques and offshore preparation.

Kettlebottom Outdoor Pursuits is currently airing on the Cox Cable Network (Channel 5/1005) to more than 6.2 million viewers, including 2.9 million digital cable subscribers. The series is expanding to the Fox network this spring.
The new distribution for the series will air to an additional 1.8 million viewers and 620,000 households in the New England area. Kettlebottom Outdoor Pursuits will air on Fox from April through June 2013 for 13 weeks.
The series follows Captain Robb Roach and the Kettlebottom crew in search of the most exciting outdoor adventures from outings in your own backyard to top hunting and fishing expeditions around the world.
Each episode features a cooking segment titled "Cooking the Catch", where Roach  and the Kettlebottom crew demonstrate easy ways to cook up a tasty dish with the fresh catch of the day. Many of the cooking segments are shot on location at local restaurants and kitchens and featured in episodes throughout the season.
