📰 News we're reading
• Boston Considers Noise Cameras to Fine Loud Cars, Following Successful Newport Program (wror.com) — Newport's noise‑camera program is quietly reshaping late‑night life by automatically ticketing cars louder than 83 decibels, generating thousands of summonses since 2024 and discouraging modified vehicles from cruising into town. Mobile microphone trailers are moved to neighborhoods with complaints, and each verified violation brings a $250 fine by mail. Boston is now studying Newport's model as a possible blueprint.
