Providence To Open Waterparks Early For Hot Weekend
Come cool off in the city's 13 waterparks.
PROVIDENCE, RI — With another sweltering weekend ahead in the forecast, Providence city officials decided to reopen the city's waterparks, a week ahead of schedule. The 13 parks will be open from 12 p.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Saturday.
All parks will open Friday, except for Fargnoli Park, which was recently renovated. Play attendants will be on site. Waterparks will be closed Sundays and in the case of inclement weather. Bathrooms and concession stands will remain closed.
All visitors will be temperature checked upon arrival, and groups will be limited to 15 people. Each group will be allowed to use the area for 45 minutes maximum. High-touch ares will be sanitized between uses, and visitors are asked to sanitize their hands frequently and not share equipment. To ensure social distancing, users are asked to wait until the other person is done using a piece of equipment before approaching.
