Rhode Island Weather Forecast: How Much Snow, When, and Where
Nearly two feet of snow and 40-60 mph winds. This nor'easter is going to be the real deal.
The first snow estimates have been released for Tuesday's storm, and they certainly make one thing clear: This nor'easter is going to be the real deal. The majority of the state could see well more than a foot of snow in one of the strongest outputs of the winter.
Weather watches have been issued in advance of Winter Storm Stella. The National Weather Service has issued a blizzard watch for the southern half of Rhode Island, while the rest will be under a winter storm watch.
Winter Storm Stella will follow the frigid weekend with at least 12-18 inches, and up to almost two feet if things go bad. Subscribe to your local Patch for more weather and news alerts.

Before we look too far ahead, we still have this weekend's bitter cold to deal with. Despite recent record-high temperatures close to 70 degrees, wind chills this weekend will dip into double-digit negatives. So even as the clock springs forward Sunday morning, you'll have every excuse to stay in bed an extra hour or two.
