RI Electoral College Votes for Hillary Clinton and Asks for Russian Investigation
Newport's Clay Pell, former Democratic gubernatorial candidate, was elected president of the RI College of Electors. They voted today.

PROVIDENCE, RI — Clay Pell, former Democratic gubernatorial candidate, was elected president of the Rhode Island College of Electors Monday.
The Electoral College cast its votes for U.S. president today. Pell tweeted the vote was unanimous for Hillary Clinton.

Pell also said this afternoon the RI Electoral College wants an independent bipartisan investigation to probe Russian interference in the Nov. 8 election. Members of the U.S. Congress, including Republican U.S. Sen. John McCain (R-AZ) and Democrat Chuck Schumer (D-NY) are calling for a similar investigation.
