On Monday, June 17th, Dr. Frank Heppner will be a guest speaker at the monthly meeting of the East Greenwich Historic Preservation Society. Dr. Heppner is a retired professor of Biology at URI, but his real passion is trains and railroads. He has ridden500,000 miles of trains in 25 countries. Dr. Heppner will speak on railroads of Rhode Island, the title of his newest book.
The event is at the Society's headquarters, the Old Jail at 110 King Street, East Greenwich. It begins with a potluck supper at 6:30 - Dr. Heppner will speak at 7:30. The meeting is free and the public is invited. Please call Sue Curado at 884-4643 or e-mail her at lencu@cox.net.
