The Newport County Radio Club will be holding a special Amateur Radio (Ham) event at the Beavertail Lighthouse Museum. The event will run from 10 AM to 4 PM Saturday August 17 and Sunday August 18 in cooperation with the Beavertail Lighthouse Museum Association.
Ham radio operators will be making radio contacts with other interested stations world-wide. Operations will be held in the Oil House (see attached map). Members of Newport County Radio Club will be present to answer questions about amateur radio.
Over 450 lighthouses and Lightships will participate in the event, with approximately 10% of them being in the USA.
