NK Man Indicted on 15 Counts of Child Molestation

Robert Eaton of North Kingstown has been indicted on 15 counts of child molestation.

A North Kingstown man has been indicted on 15 counts child molestation after allegedly molesting three children.

The Washington County Grand Jury reported its indictment of Robert Eaton, 61, of 50 Yorktown Rd. in North Kingstown Friday on child molestation charges with four counts of first-degree child molestation and 11 counts of second-degree child molestation.

According to a press release from Attorney General Peter F. Kilmartin's office, Eaton molested a child (age 14 years or younger, gender unknown) between 1998 and 2000. The alleged molestation was in the first and second degree.

Before that, Eaton allegedly molested two other children – the first between 1994 and 1996 and the second between 1995 and 1998. All three molestations took place in North Kingstown and were investigated by the North Kingstown Police Department.

Eaton is currently being held without bail at the ACI. He is scheduled to be arraigned in Washington County Superior Court on Oct. 1.
