Early Years Are Learning Years
All young children need and deserve high-quality early learning experiences that will prepare them for life. The Week of the Young Child (WOYC), endorsed by the National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC), is our opportunity to hold activities to celebrate our young children as well as shed light on their needs and the needs of their families.

Cold Spring Community Center
Join BARBI BEYER, from Sing with B and Music Together, as we sing, dance, celebrate, and learn! Through music, children develop math, language, and literacy skills, and of course, have fun!
Taco Tuesday! April 14 1:00 pm – 3:00 pm Location to be announced
Join, dietitian, Cindy Buxton as we learn about healthy eating and fitness at home and school! This fun, food-themed event is more than just about building your own yummy taco.
Work Together Wednesday! April 15 1:00 pm – 3:00 pm

Join us as we build together, thanks to the generosity of Home Depot. When children build together they explore math and science concepts and develop their social and early literacy skills.
Artsy Thursday April 16 1:00 pm – 3:00 pm Location to be announced
Think, problem solve, create. Children develop creativity, social skills and fine muscles with open-ended art projects where they can make choices, use their imaginations and create with their hands. Celebrate the joy and learning children experience when engaged in creative art making.
Family Friday April 17 1:00 pm – 3:00 pm

Sharing family stories. Engaging and celebrating families is at the heart of supporting our youngest learners. NAEYC and NK PAT applaud you as your child’s first and most important teachers. Make a family quilt with photos brought to this unique interactive event.
