Ways to Help for the Holidays? Donate One Meal to Crossroads RI's #Giving Tuesday Campaign
Crossroads RI is the biggest "homeless services organization in Rhode Island," and it has a facility in North Kingstown.

NORTH KINGSTOWN, RI– Everybody's heard about Black Friday and Cyber Monday. But with the holidays coming up, Crossroads Rhode Island is asking Rhode Islanders to find out about #GivingTuesday.
On Nov. 29, Crossroads is asking everyone to help the needy by making a donation of $15 -- the price of one meal.
"Last year, more than 45,000 organizations in 71 countries came together to celebrate #GivingTuesday," according to Crossroads Rhode Island. "We are also asking members of the local business community to encourage employees to donate and/or hold individual fundraising events in the workplace to raise money."

"Since 1894, Crossroads Rhode Island has been serving some of the most vulnerable people in our state,"according to its website. "Today, we are the largest homeless services organization in Rhode Island."
One example of its success is Kingstown Crossings, located on 14 acres near Quonset. The complex includes two housing developments for individuals and families from a variety of backgrounds, with over 100 units in total, publicist Alexa Battista said. "Kingstown Crossings is an environmentally friendly complex with energy-saving appliances and other features designed to reduce utility usage and cost."
But it's not the organization's only location. Crossroads also has smaller 1-2 unit low income and transitional housing in other cities and towns throughout the state.
