After a successful launch of the US Powerboating-certified Youth Powerboat camps in Rhode Island last year, Confident Captain/Ocean Pros is happy to announce expanded course offerings and locations in 2015. Confident Captain has again partnered with Safe/Sea to offer the powerboat camp.

Kids aged 10-17 receive powerboat instruction in a fun summer camp setting. The camp covers the US Powerboating’s state-approved Safe Boating Certification curriculum in a fun, hands-on approach both on the water and in the classroom.

The course will cover safety, seamanship, basic navigation, boat handling, weather, knots, boat care and maintenance, and more. At the end of day 2, kids will be tested for State approved Safe Boating Certification and leave with a US Powerboating certification card.

A third additional day of Advanced Powerboat Handling is optional and will enhance the confidence and skills built during the initial 2 days.
